About Tanduk Unicorn
Tanduk Unicorn, which translates to "Unicorn's Horn," refers to the climax and most challenging section of the fabled 26-kilometer Unicorn Trail on Penang Hill. It is located at a steep ravine that requires hikers to navigate narrow, unmarked paths using ropes and roots for balance.
The Unicorn Trail was mapped in 2018 by hikers whose GPS tracks formed the shape of a unicorn; the "Tanduk" represents the horn of the shape. Reaching this point is considered a significant achievement for trail runners and experienced hikers, offering a sense of accomplishment within the island's most extensive day-hike route.
