About Sun Yat Sen Museum Penang
The Sun Yat Sen Museum, located at 120 Armenian Street in George Town, is a historic house museum dedicated to the Chinese revolutionary leader Dr. Sun Yat Sen. It was the base for the Penang Philomatic Society and the site where he planned the 1911 Huanghuagang Uprising.
The museum is housed in a beautifully preserved 19th-century Nyonya-style shophouse. Visitors can explore exhibits detailing Dr. Sun's life and his time in Penang, as well as the history of the house itself. It remains a significant cultural and historical landmark within the UNESCO World Heritage zone.
