About Penang National Park
The Penang National Park, despite being the smallest national park in Malaysia, is a treasure trove of biodiversity and natural beauty. Located on the northwestern tip of the island, the park protects a rich and diverse range of habitats, including a pristine tropical rainforest, beautiful sandy beaches, and a rare meromictic lake. The park is a paradise for nature lovers and adventurers, offering a network of well-marked hiking trails that lead through the dense jungle to stunning, secluded beaches like Monkey Beach and Kerachut Beach, the latter of which also houses a turtle sanctuary.
For those who prefer not to hike, boat services are available from the park entrance at Teluk Bahang to take visitors to the various beaches. A visit to the Penang National Park is an unforgettable eco-adventure and a chance to experience the wild, untouched side of the island.
