About Penang Forestry Museum
The Penang Forestry Museum, or Muzium Perhutanan, is an educational facility located within the grounds of the Teluk Bahang Forest Park. The museum is dedicated to showcasing the rich biodiversity of the Malaysian tropical rainforest and the history of the forestry industry in the country. The exhibits within the museum provide valuable information on the different types of forests, the various species of timber trees, and the wide range of non-timber forest products.
It also aims to raise awareness about the importance of forest conservation and sustainable forest management. A visit to the museum is a great way to start an exploration of the forest park, as it provides a deeper understanding and appreciation for the complex ecosystem that you are about to enter.
