About Penang Archaeological Park

The Penang Archaeological Park is also known as Sia Boey Urban Archaeological Park. Located at 7, Jalan Maxwell in George Town, Penang, it is a site where history and urban revitalization converge. It was once a bustling trading hub and has been transformed into a public park that preserves relics of the past.

The park features the revitalized Prangin Canal, which is now filled with koi fish, as well as an old market hall and shophouses. It is considered Malaysia's first Urban Archaeological Park and adds to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of George Town.
