About Pasir Buaya
Pasir Buaya, or Crocodile Sand, is a secluded beach located within the boundaries of the Penang National Park. Despite its name, there are no crocodiles at the beach; the name likely refers to the shape of the rock formations or local legends. It is situated along the hiking trail that leads toward Teluk Kampi and is considered one of the more remote parts of the park.
The beach is characterized by its quiet atmosphere and its position at the edge of the dense jungle. It is primarily visited by seasoned hikers and those seeking a truly off-the-beaten-path experience. The natural environment is well-preserved, offering visitors a chance to see various species of monitor lizards, sea eagles, and other native wildlife in their natural habitat.
