About Mukim Pantai Acheh

Mukim Pantai Acheh is an administrative district ("mukim") located on the remote northwestern tip of Penang Island. This area is celebrated for being one of the most pristine and untouched parts of the island, characterized by its rugged coastline, dense rainforests, and secluded beaches. The district's most significant feature is that it is home to the majority of the Penang National Park, the smallest national park in Malaysia but one that is incredibly rich in biodiversity.

Pantai Acheh offers a true eco-adventure for visitors, with its main attractions being the park's challenging hiking trails, the meromictic lake at Kerachut Beach, the turtle sanctuary, and the idyllic Monkey Beach. The area has a very small local population, mostly in traditional fishing villages, which has helped to preserve its natural, unspoiled character. It is the ultimate destination in Penang for nature lovers, hikers, and those seeking solitude and natural beauty.
