Downing Street (Lebuh Downing/ டவுனிங் சாலை)

Downing Street, or Lebuh Downing, is a short but historically significant street located in the heart of the old colonial administrative and financial district of George Town. It is named after the famous street in London where the British Prime Minister resides. This street is flanked by imposing and grand colonial-era buildings that once housed the key institutions of the British government and major commercial enterprises.
