About Bukit To Tokun
Bukit To Tokun, also known as Cherok Tok Kun, is the highest peak on the Penang mainland, standing at 547 meters. It is the centerpiece of the Bukit Mertajam Recreational Forest and is a major destination for hikers in Seberang Perai.
The hill features multiple trails, including a paved road used for maintenance and various jungle paths such as Trek 800. The summit area is occupied by telecommunication towers, but the surrounding forest reserve is a protected habitat for diverse wildlife, including monkeys and tropical birds.
