About Bukit Kukus Summit
Bukit Kukus is one of the highest peaks in the central hill range of Penang Island, standing at an elevation of approximately 426 meters. It is a major landmark in the Paya Terubong and Relau areas.
The summit is part of the Trans 9 Peaks route and is known for its steep and challenging trails. Recent years have seen significant urban development and road construction (the Bukit Kukus Paired Road) near its slopes, but the peak itself remains a popular destination for serious hikers seeking a high-altitude workout.
