Bukit Hijau

Bukit Hijau, which translates to "Green Hill," is a popular hiking destination located in the Island Park and Gelugor areas of Penang. Standing at less than 200 meters, it offers a relatively short and manageable ascent, making it accessible for beginners and families looking for a nature-filled workout.

The trail rewards hikers with panoramic viewpoints overlooking George Town, the Penang Bridge, and the Kek Lok Si Temple. It is part of a larger cluster of interconnected central hills, and its summit area includes unique features such as a small badminton court and outdoor exercise equipment used by the regular hiking community.
