About Bright Peak (Guang Ming Ting)
Bright Peak, known in Mandarin as Guang Ming Ting, is a peak located within the central hill range of Penang Island, near Bukit Hijau and Bukit Relau. It stands as one of the checkpoints for hikers traversing the island's interior.
The peak offers views of the eastern coast of Penang and the First Penang Bridge. It is part of the interconnected network of trails used for the Trans 9 Peaks hike and is maintained by the local hiking community as a designated rest and viewing spot.
