About Berapit Hill Hiking

Berapit Hill Hiking refers to the network of trails located on the western slopes of the Bukit Mertajam hill range near the village of Berapit. A significant feature of this area is the presence of several Buddhist monasteries, including a Thai-Burmese temple with a five-storey pagoda.

The trails are mostly paved with cement and are popular for their panoramic views of Bukit Mertajam town and Penang Island. One of the newest and most popular additions to the area is the 328 Rainbow Stairs, which leads up through a landscaped durian orchard and is often lit with lanterns at night.
