Restoran Yunus Khan on Jalan Rangoon is a legendary and uniquely named mamak (Indian-Muslim) restaurant. It is colloquially known by the Hokkien name "Jiao Sai," which translates to "bird droppings," a nickname derived from the lucky bird droppings that once fell on the original stall's signboard.
This eatery is famously known for one thing: its incredible Maggi Goreng (fried instant noodles). It has a cult following and is widely considered to serve one of the best, if not the best, versions of this dish in Penang, often topped with a perfectly fried egg with a runny yolk.
