Khing Cafe Beach Street

Hidden along George Town’s historic Beach Street, Khing Cafe is the sort of café that rewards people who aren’t in a hurry. Behind its understated frontage is an artistic, vintage-inspired space filled with artwork, cosy seating, specialty coffee and one particularly tempting attraction: a rotating selection of delicate mille-crepe cakes.

The Okinawa Latte is the drink to know, while adventurous dessert hunters should look toward flavours such as cempedak and Musang King durian. Add in the heritage streets outside, and Khing makes a convincing case for slowing down, ordering another slice and letting somebody else deal with the Penang traffic.
